Curtis Wright Outfitter’s 2011 Hosted fly fishing trip to Yellowstone has come and gone and boy was it a great one. The weather was perfect and the people were even better.

We spent seven wonderful days exploring and revisiting one of the most wonderful places in the world. This is my eighth consecutive year going out to this beautiful area and I am still finding new water and seeing new things.

          We had a group of 13 folks joining us in Yellowstone this year. We had a very diverse group both in geography and in Yellowstone experiences. Two of our guests, John and Dale, worked in Yellowstone a few years back (30+) Spencer, Aaron, Bob, and Dick Heald, had been out with us on Hosted Yellowstone trips in the past. Beth,Herb, Chris, Dick Schaad, Ralph,  Richard Jennings, and Jim were coming out to experience their first time fishing in the park. Myself, and Jeff and Susan Curtis, rounded out our group.

          We stayed in the beautiful town of Gardiner MT and had the park at our doorstep. Many great fish were caught, and the beautiful scenery constantly surrounded us. New equipment was broken in the right way and even a few blisters were earned and ignored. The water was great and the hoppers were flying. Many new friendships were built and others were fanned.
